You can never go wrong with a classic like mashed potatoes. But, when you add cheese and heavy cream, they take this classic to a whole new flavor level. So, let’s not delay this any longer and jump on into this simple yet delicious recipe.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10-15 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
6 medium golden potatoes (peeled and cubed)
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 cup cheese (I used a mix of white cheddar, gruyere and asiago cheese)
4 cloves chopped garlic
1 tsp chicken bouillon
1 stick salted butter
salt
pepper

Tools:
large pot
strainer
potato masher

How to Prepare:

  1. In a large pot, add in the potatoes, cover with water and stir in the chicken bouillon.

  2. Bring pot to a rolling boil and cook potatoes for 10-15 minutes, until they are fork tender, then strain.

  3. Next, slowly mix in butter, 1 tbsp at a time, along with the heavy whipping cream. Use a potato masher, or fork, to incorporate and begin to smash the potatoes.

  4. Now, mix in the garlic.

  5. Lastly, fold in the cheese and add salt and pepper to taste.

Ta-da! Cheesy, creamy, dreamy potatoes.
